All set for Alabama Spring Open!

All Round Robin draws are posted for the tournament (under Draws/ Results Tab). Please check your draw/ bracket time and arrive 30 minutes before the bracket start time, even if you have a Bye in the first round. You can also see your own matches at My Matches tab on the website and the mobile app. Please note that only Round Robin draws are posted. We will have Playoffs or Consolation matches immediately after the Round Robin. We may split the levels and move players/ teams to different levels based on Round Robin performance. Please do NOT go home just because you lost a couple of games in the Round Robin. 

A2M Sports Mobile App: If you don't have A2M Sports mobile app, please download it. You will get real time notifications and more features you will like. We also added a new Marketplace Feature on the app! Once you install it from the Appstore or Playstore, close and reopen the app to update the latest version. 

Highlights: Start Recording your matches using Highlights feature. Whenever you hit a nice shot or a had a long rally, you can save the Highlights withone click (on the phone or on your watch). It'll save the last 45 seconds of the recording automatically! Try it on and save and share the memories! 

Last minute dropout? I know things happen last minute. If you or your partner may not be able to make it, please text or call me immediately and we'll update the brackets or replace the player for a $10 fee. 

Missing Partner: We are looking for a women's doubles 3.5 or 4.0 player to play Lesia Williams. If you are not playin in that event or know someone that can play, please let us know. 

Volunteers: We are looking for anyone (preferably not playing at that time) to be our volunteers to help with scoresheets, giving out medals, take pictures etc. If you volunteer for more than 3 hours, you will get a free lunch/ dinner, Free entree to our next tournament and free LLP stuff. 

Weather/ Updates: Weather looks iffy on both days. if there's any change of schedule, we will update you on TOURNEY TALK  on the tournament page... or... Messages on A2M Sports Mobile App. If there's any bad weather, we may not have playoff once we start round robin. We may try to make up some matches on Sunday (depending on weather). If we can't do the Round Robin, you will get a Rainout coupon (upto $15 off for one event or additional event fee) for the next tournament. No Refunds at this time.

If you have a Leaf Blower at home, please bring it with you. We are trying to get as many Squeegees from the Parks and Rec and we will bring a bunch of towels too. We hope not to use them, but its good to have it in the car if needed. 

Specatators: Please feel free to bring as many as you want. Its free to watch you play, for now :)

Rules for all LLP tournaments: 

1. Safety First. Please listen to your body and not to your heart, and certainly not your partner :).  
2. Show the Utmost Sportsmanship. This is Pickleball tournament for fun and competition, but no win is worth without sportsmanship. If your opponent comes and nominates you as a true sportsman (or sportswoman), you may get a free LLP Hat/ Visor!  

You can have all the fun once you follow those two rules.  

Tournament Format: 

Round Robin followed by Playoffs and Consoslation (if applicable). Top 4 teams or 8 in come cases will play in the playoffs.  If you are in a 3 team bracket, you will play Double Round Robin (2 out of 3 games with each team). 

All matches/ games have to be won by 2 points.  

Round Robin matches are played for 11 points. Playoffs are for 15 points. Gold Medal match may be 2 out of 3 games format (will confirm at the time). 

For 11 point game, you switch at 6. For 15 point games, you switch at 8. 

Players (or Team in Doubles) get one timeout for 1 minute during a game. 

If your name is on the top of the scoresheet, you will get to decide to to Serve or the side of the court. 

Once the Round Robin is done, please bring the scoresheet and we will announce the playoffs. Top 2 or top 4 players will go to the Playoffs depending on the number of teams/ players in the bracket. If the round robin only has 3 teams, you will play 2 Rounds with each team and then play another round with the next higher or lower level players based on your results. 

Balls: You will get Swell Pickleballs to play in the tournament. Please keep the balls in the Ball Bags on the court during the tournament. You can buy Swell Balls at swellpbg.com or any Kroger locations. 

General Guidelines: 

Please bring plenty of water and water coolers too. It may not be super hot, but you still need ro drink plenty of water.  

You may want to bring a chair as there may not be seating near the courts. Seating is allowed outside of the courts for visitors. 

Please do not try to cross the courts while the players are playing. Please wait until the point finishes if you need to cross. 

Please tell all your cheer leaders and supporters to remain calm while the matches are happening and No Calls from outside of the courts and No offensie comments towards the players.
