Your Summer Pickleball League Schedule is published! You can access matches on the Decatur Pickleball mobile app under "my matches".

I did need to combine groups in each Division so ALL matches will start around 7pm (yes we can start earlier if opponents agree).

Recreation Division has 6 total teams and matches are on Wednesdays @ 7pm

Intermediate Division has 5 total teams and matches are on Tuesdays @ 7pm

Format/Rules

Each week teams play best of 5 games to determine winner for the match that week.  Each game will be to 11 win by 1 point.  After each game teams switch sides until 5^th game whereas teams switch sides when one team reaches 6 points. Each team is allowed one timeout per game.

There are multiple Groups of 5/6 Teams playing in each skill Division, so a six week regular season plus one week of playoffs. The top 4 teams in each Group will go the Division Playoffs. Your match results are published on the League page in the app. https://a2msports.com/league/4189   

Ties in standings will broke by total game wins then head-to-head play. Playoffs will be played best of 3 games to 11; win by 2 points.  Double elimination format whereas DIVISION Winners are awarded 1^st (gold) and 2^nd place (silver) and 3rd place (bronze).

Choice of serve or side is determined on the court except during playoffs where the higher seed has choice of serve or side to start the match. 

USAPA rulebook will be used: https://usapickleball.org/docs/ifp/USAPA-Rulebook.pdf  Matches will self-umpire. Disputes will be settled by Section 6 D3-D13 in USAPA rules. 

Substitutions for missing players can be made during regular season.  Teams cannot substitute during playoffs.  If an injury/illness occurs before playoff game, team can use a substitute that played during regular season.  You can actually reach out to members of Decatur Pickleball Club to ask for subs during the season. Coach Anne Clarke can also help with subs. If you want to reschedule your match, please reach out to the team on the mobile app and try to reschedule. or again, Coach Anne Clarke (c.404-587-7887) can help facilitate make up matches. Forfeits will be scored as a match win for the non-forfeiting team. 

Decatur Pickleball Club is inside the OODAZU play facility. These are indoor courts and we use USAP certified indoor pickleballs for league play. Balls are provided. Please make sure you have signed the waiver for OODAZU / Decatur Pickleball Club it is on the app and also available digitally at the entrance of club.
