Check-in time for all events is 7:45 to 8:45 a.m.  Play will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.  Please notify us if you must cancel or will arrive late

*All players automatically eligible for Championship Singles.  The fee is included in the basic registration.  To enter Championship Singles, you must circle Event #1 on the Entry Blank.

Tournament Information

1. The tournament is open to Delta, Delta Technology, Delta Connection, DGS, DCCU, any Delta Subsidiary, former Delta employees and retirees only (includes NWA retirees).

 

2. Seniors must be at least 45 years old as of the tournament date.

 

3. Rules of the USATT will govern play. USATT approved equipment must be used. No sandpaper paddles allowed.  We will be using Nittaku 40+ WHITE non-celluloid balls.

 

4. Dark, solid-colored clothing is recommended, Rubber-soled shoes must be worn by all players.

 

5. Trophies will be awarded to 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place winners in Championship Singles, and to 1^st  and 2^nd place winners in all other events.  All games will be to 11 points.  All matches are best 3 out of 5 games except Championship Singles finals, which is best 4 out of 7 games.

 

6. Players are eligible for Novice Singles if they have never participated in a USATT tournament and have never won a trophy in the Delta tournament.

 

7. Doubles partners should be listed on the entry blank, if known. However, you may enter without a partner and teams will be formed by the tournament committee prior to the tournament.
8. Send entry blanks with fees (make checks payable to Delta Table Tennis) to: Jim Eckert, Dept.

    251/ATL.  Entries must be received by Tuesday, March 13, 2018.  A reasonable facsimile of the entry blank is acceptable. IMPORTANT: Call Keith Armes at 770-756-3850 or email

    keitharmes@bellsouth.net for further information regarding the tournament or if you have not received your entry acknowledgement by March 14, 2018.

9. Players must check in with the registration desk no later than 8:45 a.m. Please be on time.

 

10. Tables will be provided and will be for use by tournament entrants only.

 

11. Players are encouraged to enter events for those at, or above, their skill level. Winners in an  event will be moved up to a higher event the next year they play.  Skill levels, from high to low,  are Championship, A, B, Novice.

 

12. The tournament committee reserves the right to move players to a higher bracket event based on skill, or a small number of entries for an event.

 

13. The gym will be available for practice at 7:45 a.m. the day of the tournament.

 

14. Players: Expect to spend most of the day at the tournament and make travel plans accordingly.

 

15. All players are eligible to enter Championship Singles at no extra fee, but to do so you must circle Event #1 on the Entry Blank. This would count toward the maximum 4 event level.

Hoyt Smith (Hapeville) Rec. Center, 344 N. Fulton Ave., Hapeville, GA, phone (404) 669-2136 is a spacious gym, only 5 minutes from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Intl. Airport and features a natural wood floor.  Excellent tables and facilities for spectators are provided. 3-Star Nittaku 40+ non-celluloid white balls will be used.  Free parking is adjacent to the gym.  Soft drinks, bottled water, sandwiches, chips, and cookies will be furnished Free to all players.
