Event/ Match Timings: 

Men's and Women's Singles - Friday evening (4PM)

Men's Doubles and Women's Doubles - Sat'day (8 AM)

Mixed Doubles - Sunday (9AM)

Exact match timings will be published when we post the draws for each of the events. 

Events: We'll have doubles and mixed doubles events for  3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5.   Minimum of 4 entries required for each event. If there is any level that has less participants, we will merge the age groups within the same skill level first. If there is still less entries, we will move them to the next higher skill level event. 

Partners: Each player needs to register on the website or on our mobile app separately. You can sign up even if you don't have a partner and select the partner later. If you don't find a partner before the brackets are drawn, we will refund your money. 

Water and Snacks: We encourage you bring your own water bottles, however, water bottles and light snacks are provided to all players.  Beer kegs will be available for players and guests (limited amount available each day).  Beverage carts also available on a cash basis.   

 Match Format: All round robin matches are played to 11 points, win by 2 points. All playoffs matches will be 15 points win by 1.   Gold Medal match may be a 11 point, best 2 out of 3 format. 

Tournament ball: Franklin X40 outdoor ball.

Brackets: All events will begin with Round Robin. We use them for seeding and elimination as needed. You are guaranteed to play at least three matches in any event. Top 2 players/ teams in each group will play the playoff. The next two players/ teams will play in the Consolation Round. 

Tournament fee:  $40 flat fee for all events whether you play 1 or 3. 

 Players bags for all players

T-Shirt: All players will get a free t-shirt.

 Medals and Prizes: There will be medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each event. All Gold medal winners will get a discount on our next tournament at Cateechee.

 Coupons: Cateechee members get 15% discount off registration fee, please use EDDIE for code for coupon. 

 Medical Waiver: By registering to this event, you are signing a medical waiver form electronically. You don't need to print the form and bring it to the event. 

 Withdraw/ Refunds: You can withdraw from the tournament with full refund until the Withdraw/ Refund date. After that date, no refunds will be given. 

 Rain out/ Weather: In case of rain, some Friday matches will be played on Sunday. Matches may be delayed up to 4 hours before cancelling. Players will get a discounted entry (for the cancelled events) to our next tournament in the area. No refund will be given.

Cateechee Golf and Convention Center will be hosting the Cateechee Classic Pickleball Tournament in Memory of Charly and Kelli Schell on June 9-11, 2023.

 It was Charly and Kelli's dream to bring Pickleball to Cateechee.  Our goal is to ensure that the plans to bring pickleball to the club remains one of beauty, Southern charm, and upscale possibilities while fulfilling a need for recreational activities in the region.  Proceeds from the tournament will go to Toughest Kids, Inc., a non-profit corporation they founded dedicated to giving outdoor experiences to kids who might not otherwise get to learn about nature. They believed that every child should have the chance for a good life.

Courts:  6 newly constructed outdoor dedicated Pickleball courts located at 140 Cateechee Trail, Hartwell, GA.  We also have 6 newly constructed courts at our Recreation department 5 minutes away if we need them.                               

Cateechee has everything right on site…a beautiful clubhouse and convention center with men’s and women’s locker rooms including showers, steam room.  Food is available at the Waterfalle Grille, Shady Gradys bar and grill with outside dining. Each player will receive a player's bag.  There will be free water, snacks and fruit, and beer kegs set up for players.  We also hope to have lots of vendors.  Great venue for spectators.
