Format/Rules
Each week teams play best of 5 games to determine winner for the match that week. Each game will be to 11 win by 1 point. After each game teams switch sides until 5th game whereas teams switch sides when one team reaches 6 points. *Court 17 sun rule: teams can decide to switch sides at 6 points in each game.
Scores are recorded in game wins only (ie 3-0; 3-1; or 3-2) not in game points. Forfeits will be scored 3-0 in games as a win for the non-forfeiting team.
There are multiple Groups of 8 Teams playing in each skill Division. The top 4 teams in each Group will go to Group playoffs to determine a Group Winner and Seeding for the Divisional Playoff.
Match results are published online AgapePickleball.com. Ties in standings will broke by total game wins then head-to-head play.
Playoffs will be played best of 3 games to 11 win by 2 points. Single elimination format. Prizes will be awarded to a Group Winner and 1st and 2nd place Division Winners.
Choice of serve or side is determined on the court except during playoffs where the higher seed has choice of serve or side to start the match.
USAPA rulebook will be used: https://usapickleball.org/docs/ifp/USAPA-Rulebook.pdf Matches will self-umpire. Disputes will be settled by Section 6 D3-D13 in USAPA rules.
Co-ed league is defined as 2 males, or 2 females, or a mixed team of male and female.
Substitutions for missing players can be made during regular season. Teams cannot substitute during playoffs. If an injury/illness occurs before playoff game, team can use a substitute that played during regular season.
Make up matches will be handled by individual teams who can find a time and place to play their match before the last regular season matches are played. Please note: make ups not due to weather / property related issued MAY be charged court fees.
Spring is March- May; Summer is June – August; Fall is September – November; Winter is January- March

Agape Tennis Academy manages the Dekalb Tennis Center at Mason Mill Park. Our core values are encompassed in five virtues: Honesty, Excellence, Attitude, Responsibility and Teamwork (HEART). We intentionally create a strong culture of these virtues that we pass on to everyone in our programming. So, players are expected to use appropriate language/behavior when participating at any Dekalb County facility events. Any derogatory language/behavior by any player that is heard/seen by Agape staff, or another player will result in a warning or immediate forfeit and dismissal from the league, at staff members discretion. Sportsmanship is expected of every player win or lose. We believe in a perfect balance between learning, hard work and having fun while enjoying the process!
