Sunday June 14th / 8:00AM till Finish / Mixed Doubles 

Start-Time: 8:00AM (Please be advised that this start time does not apply to all events)

Events: We'll have mens doubles, womens doubles, mens singles, womens singles and mixed doubles events for 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 in the adult age division (18-49). We have mens, womens, and mixed at 3.0 and 3.5 in 50+ and 60+ age group as well. Minimum of 4 entries required for each event. If there is any level that has less participants, we will merge the age groups within the same skill level first. If there is still less entries, we will move them to the next higher skill level event. 

Partners: Each player needs to register on the website or on our mobile app separately. You can sign up even if you don't have a partner and select the partner later.  

Match Format: All round robin matches are played for 11 points, win by 2 points. All playoffs and championship matches will be to 15 points, win by 2 points. 

Balls: Outdoor, Franklin X-26

Brackets: All events will begin with Round Robin. We use them for seeding and elimination as needed. Top 2 teams or 4 players in each group will play the playoff. 

Medals and Prizes: There will be medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each event. We will be awarding special crowns for our Division Winners. 

Medical Waiver: By registering to this event, you are signing a medical waiver form electronically. You don't need to print the form and bring it to the event. 

Rain out/ Weather: Cancelation due to weather will be determined by tournament director Raj Kosoraju. No refunds will be given in the case of a rain out or cancellation due to weather.

Things to Remember:

• The 43rd Alabama State Games Opening Ceremony will be held on Friday June 12, 2026 at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC 
  
  

• The BJCC is a CLEAR bag facility and comes with a few rules please see those here: https://www.bjcc.org/plan-your-visit/bag-policy/ 

• In order to receive your FREE ALABAMA STATE GAMES T-SHIRT you must attend the Opening Ceremony.  The t-shirt is our gift to you for attending the Opening Ceremony. T-shirts will be available for sale at all sport venues if you are unable to be present at the Opening Ceremony.

• All registered athletes will be eligible to receive 1 of 17 SCHOLARSHIP GIVEAWAYS

  • One $2,500 scholarship per event, will be awarded to a registered athlete at the conclusion of the Athlete Leadership Summit and Grit101. Athletes that march in the Parade of Athletes at the Opening Ceremony will have a chance to win one of 15 $2,500 academic scholarships.

  • Scholarships are held in a trust until the winner is ready to use it for any post-secondary school including: universities and colleges, as well as trade and vocational schools. 

  • Winners are allowed to transfer their scholarship to another individual.
