Welcome to our 2nd Peter Chang Badminton Tournament, started in the honor of our Badminton Legend, Mr. Peter Chang. At age 71, Mr. Chang is extremely active member at the club, a great inspiration to all our members and a mentor for players at all levels and ages. It's a great honor to be able to organize a tournament on his name. 

The tournament is open for everyone at all levels, Amateurs(Level-C), Challengers(Level-B) and Masters(Level-A). 

As Badminton is keeping us active even as we age gracefully, this year we added events Singles and Doubles events for 50plus. 

We welcome all out of state (non Georgia) players to participate. We will offer a special gift just for participating if you are coming from out of state.  

This will be a consolation type tournament, so you will play at least two matches minimum. Please note that all consolation draws will be played after the main draws are done and we may not complete all the way to finals on time or we may have to change the format to complete them. 

Early Bird gift will be given to players who register before before April 30th, for upto 15 players. Registrations closed on May 25th. There will be a late fee to enter until June 5th. However, NO WALK-INS ALLOWED. 

We will use YouHe S100 shuttlecocks from SkylarSun Sports as our official shuttlecock for the tournament. We will provide the shuttlecocks for all tournament matches.  

All matches until semi-finals and finals will be played for 15 points; best of 3 games. Semifinals and finals will be for 21 points, best of 3 games. 

Medals will be given to first place and 2nd place in the main draw in each event. We have a total cash prize of $1500 for the tournament and will be distributed across all events.  Cash prize will be given to the winners in the main draws only.  Kids will get medals but no cash prize.  

If there are less than 5 members in a group, you may play a Round Robin within that group or may be moved to a higher skill level or age group. For Round Robin matches, it'll be one set with 25 points. 

Timing: Exact draws time for different events will be published two days in advance. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your event time. If you are late by more than 10 minutes, you will be forfeited. No exceptions.
